In Acuatico Beach Resort, Batangas
I ended my year 2012 with a bang. How? Friends and I went to a cozy place with an infinite cerulean blue paradise – Acuatico Beach Resort located at Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. It was such bliss and truly an awesome construction from man’s thinking bind together with God’s wonderful creations.
Tranquil. Calm. Peace. These are the words that first come out to my mind whenever I think of Acuatico Beach Resort. To read more about my travel escapade kindly heed onto my travel blog The Posh Traveler or click here.

Lavish getaways are sometimes necessary most especially if you wanted to unwind and recuperate positive vibes and acquire ideas for a better you or maybe a time to be yourself.
Yes, the sweet escaped I had in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas probably one of my extravagant and yet memorable and remarkable getaways last year (2012). The girlfriends – Kae, Yani and Jerica - and I decided to have a weekend escape from a busy and chaotic metro and have a bonding session to a cosy and serene ambiance of Acuatico Beach Resort.
Sunday. Meet-up time: 7:30am. Meeting Place: Alphaland Magallanes. Everyone was excited. It was our first time to be together – just the four of us – in a weekend getaway, far from our loved ones and special someone. To be in a place yet unknown to us, yes we’ve heard and read so much about Acuatico Beach Resort but the location was quite strange to us. Good thing, Tito Danny, Yani’s dad, was so kind to accompany and even drove us going to the place with infinite beauty and surprises.
After 2.5 hours’ drive, a breath-taking view welcomed us that looks like the resort was reserved for us. Not crowded. Relax. Tranquil. Infinity Pool. Beach. Everything was appealing to our very eyes, a place where you can truly let everything go and have some great and pleasurable moments.
While waiting for our 12nn check-in time, we’d decided to have an early lunch at the resort’s restaurant (by the way, it is not allowed to bring your own food. Buffet lunch & Dinner is available for P560 per person) while enjoying the scenic view.
And did some photo ops…- well, in some cases I do hate having a camera simply because I’m out of the picture – with these gorgeous and fashionably classy ladies.
12nn. Check-in. We got the Terrazza for our an overnight accommodation for P13,130. Good for 4 persons. This room has two queen-sized beds and has its own view deck on the 2nd floor, has an LCD TV, a telephone and a bathroom at the ground floor.
It’s time for another batch of photo ops in our room. Cam-whoring. What I liked the most here was that the place was limited for a few numbers of people so privacy is not an issue.
After fixing ourselves and had our bikinis on, time for more photo ops. Ha-ha. By the help of tripod and remote control, here we go again.
The girls didn’t stop to soak under the sun as they also had Kayak-ing even though it was so freaking hot because Mr. Sunshine was shining so brightly, thanks to sunscreens/sunblocks that protects our skin from the harmful sun rays, because of them there’s nothing to worry about. By the way, it was 1:30 in the afternoon when they decided to this, still, the big smile is on their faces.
after kayak-ing at 1:30pm ^_^
Afterwards, we need to go back to our room, ordered complimentary hot teas, watched TV and took some rest to be prepared on another round of Kayak-ing at 5pm, dinner and Girl’s Talk ‘til dawn and perhaps some margarita to add a little spice to our weekend bonding.
kayak-ing at 5:00pm onwards, posed for a photo ops, one of the lifeguards was so accommodating and took photos of us every now and then. Thank you so much Kuya!
Sadly, my Nikon D5100's battery was emptied. I left the extra battery and charger in our home. On the other note, if you wanted to be in this wonderful resort, just visit their website here and consider booking this weekend or anytime soon and you’ll definitely enjoy these awesomeness.

Helping nowadays is as easy as 1-2-3. Being of help to someone who’s in need is within reach if we wanted to or being supportive to organizations that missions are able to help and make someone smile. One of these is the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology or simply called as PAO. They have an “Eyebags” campaign; it seeks support to the education of the students from unfortunate families through donations.
And below is the press release from PAO in order to further explain their mission and how they’re able to sustain and fulfil one’s dream.

18 February2013; Manila: The Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology (PAO) has recently organized “EyeBags,” a campaign that seeks to support the education of students from underprivileged families through the donation of various school materials. Incorporating ‘green’ into the advocacy, eye doctors from all over the Philippines have committed to donate hundreds of unused bags from medical conferences that they attend every year.
“These convention bags are highly functional. Instead of throwing these away, we thought of engaging all the eye doctors who are members of the PAO to donate the bags and reach out to Filipino school children in need of support. The project has grown tremendously that we have expanded to donating other school materials to help promote and enhance students’ learning experience in their schools,” shared Dr. Johann Michael Reyes, PAO Committee Chair for Public Relations.
This year, volunteers from the PAO and graduates from Xavier High School, Class of ’82 trooped to Paraway Mangyan Elementary School in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro to distribute bags, school supplies, clothing items and teaching materials that will benefit both students and teachers. “We believe that education is one of the best ways to change society. With this project, we endeavour to help instil hope in the hearts of Filipino children, one Eye Bag at a time,” Dr. Reyes said.
The PAO accepts donations through its secretariat. Individuals and organizations may contact PAO at 813-5318 or send their donations to Unit 815 Medical Plaza Makati Condominium, Amorsolo corner Dela Rosa Streets, Legaspi Village, Makati.
The PAO is an internationally-recognized specialty society of ophthalmologists in the Philippines. It aims to ensure access to quality eye care for Filipinos. The PAO commits to continuously develop its members professionally through clinical education, research and practice management, in a collegial and harmonious environment, contributing to ethical, professional and compassionate practice.

Dearies, your old and yet still usable school items could be a great help and inspiration to someone, so I beg, that you rather donate them and make these children happy.

Picturesque view from Guijalo Port. This was taken in the time of our departure at Caramoan, Cam Sur. Mr . Sunshine came out to shower natural light for us to capture a photographic landscape in Guijalo Port where the perfect cone-shaped Mayon Volcano is in the frame. Magnificent and breath-taking scenery that exhibits life's simplicity but yet abundant. You simply have to learn how to appreciate God's wonder so that you can visualize how life could possibly be pleasurably grateful.
I know there are a lot of things we consider when packing for a beach getaway. However, these are my top three beach essentials that I always write on top my “things-to-bring” lists whenever I have an out-of-town getaway or a day road trip.
Must Have! Any brand would do. The higher the SPF the better. It’s must that we should took care our skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Even if you wanted to get tan, still, put some SPF on your skin to avoid hurting and uncomfortable sunburn.
Any brand would do as long as it has UV Rays Protection. As long as we wanted to take good care of our skin, we should also consider taking care of our eyes from the sunrays. I must say that it is nicer to walk and have fun under a dazzled free sunshine.
Havaianas and Ipanema are my best buds in terms of flip-flops. Well, walking on the shore could be fun with flip-flops. Plus, it could help you out on building your sand castle. ^_^
That’s It! My top three must have beach essentials for a worry-free getaway!
