Sakura blossoms with Honeybon’s Sakura Mango Cake!

When I was a kid and someone asked me what my favorite flower is. I would quickly answered Cherry Blossoms! And since then, I’ve been dreaming of Japan. I even wrote it on my diary that I would be working in Japan but that thing is very far from where I am now, though, Japan is still on my list, not to work but rather to travel and explore the country someday most especially their Sakura season. Cherry blossom is a flower of any of trees of genus Prunus, particularly the Japanese Cherry, Prunus serrulata called by the Japanese as Sakura that blooms every month of March to May. Its beautiful pink flowers that seen all over attracts everyone.

Moving on, here in Manila, you can also enjoy the Sakura season with a delicious cake from Honeybon Cakes and Pastry Shop located along Katipunan, a few meters away from Quirino Memorial Medical Center (still same building with its old name Honeybee Patisserie & Café and Tokyo Bubble Tea). In line with their re-branding from its old name “Honeybee Patisserie and Café” they also introduced their one-of-a-kind and seasonal cake, just in time for Sakura season, Sakura Mango Cake. Now, you’ve got to taste the sumptuous and the perfect taste of not-too-sweet Sakura Mango Cake without spending and traveling to Japan.

Thus, Honeybon’s Sakura Mango Cake is a must try for everyone and I know you will like it, too. It does not have the “umay” and “nakakasawa” factor because it is perfectly baked suited for everyone’s palate. Every bite will make you to want more. I love its festive color with a twist of mango filling inside of it which came from Guimaras. Then, a soft and fluffy chiffon cake covered with pink frosting and designed with Sakura flowers.

More so, Honeybon also offers different taste and good-looking cakes that would entice and make your day some sort of happiness that can be paired to their signature hot drinks such as Espresso (P85), Just Coffee/Decaf (P85), Hokkaido Coffee Latte (P120), Matcha Café Latte (P135), Mocha Café Latte (P125), and Gran’s Chocolate Mallows (P135) or even on their refreshing cold drinks like Fresh Mango (P115), Fresh Watermelon (P115), Fresh Calamansi (P115), Fresh Orange (P145), Fresh Dalandan (P125) and Fresh Lemonade (P125). Boxes of brownies, banana loaf, Lengua, Food for the Gods, Crinkles, White Choco Chunk (which is my favorite) and double choco chunk are also available at a very affordable prices.
