It’s forever summer here in the Philippines! Yeah, there’s a lot of places yet to discover and explore in and outside Metro Manila. Philippines’ provinces that are rich with cultures, marine life, nature, crystal clear beaches, enchanting rivers, mountains and a lot more. Every place has its own distinct identity that one should discover. Albeit, knowing all of these wonders exists in my country, Philippines, makes me giddy and excited to travel more.

With that said, following the success of the Visit the Philippines Year 2015 campaign, the Department of Tourism (DoT) and the Tourism of Promotions Board (TPB) are launching another exciting campaign that will not only attract more foreign visitors to the country but will also make them want to visit the country all over again with the VISIT the PHILIPPINES AGAIN 2016 (VPA2016).
VPA2016 is a retail-based campaign to drive urgency and excitement among foreign travelers to visit the Philippines and return for more fun, friendship, feel-good adventures and fabulous memories to cherish 2016.
Local and foreign travelers who has so much enthusiasm to explore the Philippines will be treated to many new and exciting attractions and spectacular travel destinations that showcase the beauty of the Philippine islands and the warmth of its people. Offering more fun that keeps travelers coming back for more, returning visitors will also be given exclusive travel deals and special incentives. They can avail of special discounts on flights, hotel accommodations and tour packages after simply presenting their proof of previous visits.
To date, Philippines registered a total of 2.6 million international visitors from January to June 2015 alone and has a total earnings generated from tourism activities to 11.05 billion for the first six months of 2015. With all these new fantastic offerings, it will be another bright year for the tourism sector. DoT and PTB intend to remain aggressive and competitive in getting its share of the tourist market next year. They are confident that more foreign travelers will choose to visit Philippines over any other destinations and more will be delighted to return to the country in 2016.

Meanwhile, during the event held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom for the grand launched of VISIT the PHILIPPINES AGAIN 2016 campaign, DoT ambassador Apl.de.Ap was also present to showcase his singing talent and performers such as La Salle Dance Company, Rhada and Jessica Reinoso were also present to entertain and encouraged everyone that Philippines is a country worth visiting. From its happy people to its awesome wonders!
