Skin Care Regimen and Beauty Hacks by Alex Gonzaga

Happy end of November! Gee… Tomorrow will be a new month and the spirit of Christmas is noticeably around us. Are you done with your Christmas shopping? Well, I am not yet done as I am quite busy with work so I that I can save up more for my future and travel as well. Life is better that way, trust me! Anyhow, with the cold season coming, I bet most of us are having problem with our skin – choppy lips, dry skin and the likes. So I guess, it is time for me to share with you some of my beauty regimen. Okay, let’s get started.

I have a sensitive skin, thus, keeping my skin acne-free and look healthy and young is quite a challenge. Not all the products that deals with beautification and perfect for sensitive skin like mine does not work for me. Perhaps, it is really a trial and error and test here and there to find your perfect match. Along the way, I found Proactiv Solution that helps me achieve the acne-free skin that I wanted. Exercise

It’s a must! A 30-min exercise before or after bedtime is good in the long run. It helps you to become active throughout the day and give someone a good sleep. My favorite is doing the squat which helps me to have a good posture. Guys, have something that you can do regularly. Not necessarily hard core exercises but at least slowly and yet surely. Have discipline. Make it as a habit.

Enough Sleep

I made sure that at least I have 6-8 hour sleep every day. It is included on my daily routine. By having so, I become more energetic and productive. Well, my brain cells are more functional when I attain that required sleep that leads me to finish more tasks.

Eat a healthy diet

Vegetables. Fish. Fruits. These are my warriors to combat illness and makes me healthier.

Sunscreen

As we grow older, our skin tends to be more sensitive and it is best way to keep our skin protected.

Alex shares she always keeps a bottle of water on standby to keep her hydrated during long hours of shoot.

3. Exercise is good for blood circulation
Physical activity cuts stress which may contribute to acne. Improved blood circulation helps the skin by sending more oxygen to your skin cells and carrying the cell wastes away.  “I do pilates regularly. It is fun and a great way to relieve stress,” Alex adds.

4. Sleeping with makeup on is a big no-no
No matter how tired she is after a long day at the set, Alex religiously takes time to remove all traces of makeup from her face to make sure her pores are not clogged with sweat, dust, and dirt.
