It’s
barely 3 months ago when I visited Indonesia but I can still remember the vivid
pictures of how great that vacation was and remembering every bits and pieces
of how the experience was didn’t fail me to giggle. It was already dark when
the cab dropped us off at the main entrance of Holiday Resort Lombok. The breath of fresh air, the wonderful
ambiance and the relaxing scenery was beyond our expectation. Everything was
such a haven that we even canceled our itineraries and decided to just lounge
by the pool side, enjoy resort’s amenities, read books, and relaxing at the
veranda while watching other guests enjoying their dips at the swimming pool.

Tourist spots such as
Senggigi beach, port going to Gili Island, bus going to the airport, etc. are
also can be reached in a span of 5-10 minutes. Holiday Resort Lombok really offers comfort and at the same time
accessibility. Plus, they can also arrange tours to Gili Island. Welcome drink

The Room
We
stayed at the Ocean View Room located at the main wing with a view of the
ocean, pool and garden from our balcony, equipped with a twin-bed; 24 hours’
room service, cable TV, coffee and tea making facility in room; safety deposit box, complete
toiletries, towels and robes. It was spacious enough that the three of us can
comfortably walk inside without banging each other. The bed and pillows are
soft and gave us a very good sleep well, a great holiday indeed! By the way,
aside from Ocean View Room you may select at the following rooms depending on
your preferences, Garden Chalet, Beach Bungalow and Two-Bedroom Family Suite.

The Food
On our
first night, we dined at the beach area and had a sumptuous Indonesian fares
such as Bebek Goreng Sambal Hijau and Satay Merah Putih with cocktails on the
side and the singers serenade us while having our dinner. Since our
accommodation includes breakfast we got a chance to almost tried all of
Lombok’s cuisines during our buffet breakfast at Rinjani Restaurant. Well, I always look forward for the authentic Nasi
Goreng and Mie Goreng and glad that they were always present in the menu and
these tastes great! More so, I was also a hoarder of yoghurt – I liked how
creamy and milky it was. And dining experience wouldn’t be complete without the
colorful and good-looking desserts! And yes, they were yummy, too! And before I
forgot, the croissants were best paired with a hot coffee. By the way, “goreng”
means fried.

The Amenities
I am
certain that aside from comfort, travelers also look for great amenities. Most
specially if one is just going to have a lazy day and more of a relaxing kind
of vacation. To be honest, I do. That is why, aside from the great outdoor
infinity swimming pool, having a lush green surrounding is a must for me, an
in-house spa where I can have a relaxing massage anytime of the day, palm trees
all over the resort, gym to keep me in shape even on holidays. And what makes
my stay stands out at Holiday Resort
Lombok was that they have everything that I always look forward for a
resort. It has a tropical vibe that gave me hard time leaving.

The Verdict
Overall experience
was a top notch. Holiday Resort Lombok
gave me the “wow” factor that in effect – I just decided to stay in the resort
and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere that it gives. Cancelling my planned itineraries
such as a day tour in Gili Islands and lounge all-day long at the poolside
while reading book already connotes that I had a great time. And yes, if I will
be going back to Lombok, Indonesia anytime soon I will still
prefer to stay at this resort.
