Hotel Staycation: Azalea Residences Baguio, room 201

Who would have thought that before the year 2013 ends, I’ll be in Baguio City, “The Summer Capital of the Philippines”? I already gave up with my plans when it was being rescheduled for several times, from early 2013 to summer to rainy season. But then, God’s wonder is inevitable. One Tuesday afternoon when Blogger friends and I stayed in Starbucks, Shangrila Mall, EDSA, after an event held there, to chat, to talk about whatnots and everything going on in the blogging community when Az of azraelsmerryland.bogspot.com bat in about their stay in Azalea Residences and if we would like to visit Baguio City on that coming weekends.

 Azalea Residences Baguio at night.
Well, I never expected that it will be pushed thru ‘coz of lack of preparation and time. I must say, unplanned trips will have the higher probability to push thru. So for me, no more planning not unless I’m travelling with P who’s been very detailed and OC when it comes to travelling.

3:30 in the morning at Victory Liner Terminal, Baguio City while Azalea's van is waiting for us.
Meanwhile, it was Saturday, 3:30 in the morning when we arrived in Victory Liner terminal at Baguio City with a perfect weather and awesome cold breeze that tickles on my nose. That time I can really feel that, finally, I’m in Baguio City! Wooot! Wooot! Azalea Residences Baguio’s service van was already there waiting for us, we were treated like a Princes and Princesses with such a warm welcome. Well, if first impression truly lasts, then I am confident to say that our hotel staycation in Azalea Residences Baguio will be wonderful. Moving on, after several photo ops, we’re headed to the van and quite excited with our journey. Oh, how I miss Baguio City, from the non-air-conditioned vehicles to unpolluted surroundings! 2009 was my last visit in that place and it was during our University’s filed trip. Awesome! It’s time for me to catch some inner peace and rejuvenate.

from l-r: Cristelle, Rey, Alwin and yours truly.

We were welcomed by the receptionist staff with his utmost gratitude; he already made us feel at home while having the vibe of Christmas, since Azalea Residences Baguio is already dress up in lieu of Christmas season. After some signing and identity verification, he handed to us our magnetic card door key, our home for 3 days and 2 nights will be room 201, a 3-bedroom suite for the four of us.

 Classy elevator!

I’m still at awe every time I see our room’s photos. It was huge for the four of us. It has three bedrooms – the master room with own bathroom, 2 bedrooms, wherein the other one has one Queen-sized bed and the other has twin bed, with common/shared bathroom. Well, I occupied the master bedroom, I’m the happiest! Alwin occupied the room with 1 Queen-sized bed and the couple, Rey and Cristelle, occupied the room with twin bed.
