Our first day was a blast thus getting more excited on what Asia Grand View Hotel store for us is already given. Truth to be told that my first time in Coron, Palawan brought me so much happiness and had me experience in appreciating Coron’s beauty. I woke up early despite of the bed weather, yeah it was raining on our 2nd day but it won’t stop us to explore the wonders of Coron. And for day 2 itinerary, we are going to Culion, a 1 ½ hour away from Coron town proper via a motorized sail boat. I heard and read a lot about Culion on school days during Philippine History and Social Economics subject. It was once became an isolated area because of leper. Thus, visiting Culion is one of the highlights of my trip in Culion. Well, I am going to talk about it more on my next post, so please stay tuned! ☺
I’m glad that the Mr. Sunshine started to show up when we reached to our destination, though, there were still minimal rain showers but at least bearable for us to walk and explore the historic town. But before that, we docked to Tabing Dagat Lodging House and Restaurant and had some refreshments. We have cupcakes and refreshing orange juice way enough to quench our thirst. I couldn’t give you photos of how the rooms’ looks like though but I assure you that the location itself is already a plus.
You have the view of the sea and the location is accessible to the public transportation which is the tricycle and just a less than 5-min ride to the Culion’s tourist spots such as Culion Museum and Archives, Church of Immaculate Conception, Fort Culion and many more. Well, I guess, a good walk to explore the place will do. I found it also amusing on how quiet and friendly Culion’s people are. So hopefully, next time that I would visit Palawan, I will be staying a night or two in this lodging house and discover what lies ahead of Culion.
