If you’re up for historic journey and or interested with the historic battle between the Japanese, Filipino and American troops, Corregidor Island is one of the best islands in the country to explore. Aside from it is very accessible via Sun Cruises, which is an hour away from Metro Manila, you also have an option to stay for a night and feel the beautiful surrounding. Of course, a top-notch accommodation can also be experience by staying at the newly-renovated Corregidor Inn. Also, it is the one and only hotel in the island. Seems like no choice? Oh boy, there’s nothing to worry about as you got the best of the world – rich history and comfortable stay!

Corregidor Inn is a quaint boutique hotel nestled in a lush green wherein facade was surrounded by bougainvillea plants. The hotel was covered in pink and green with a very scenic view of the ocean and mountain range. The ambiance was calm and serene, way perfect to get away from the chaotic world of the metropolis or been away from the hectic schedule at work. At Corregidor Inn, seems like everything falls in the right places and carefully sit at the proper corner. The hotel has 31 rooms which is composed of 22 twin rooms, 8 double rooms, and one suite room which are fully-air-conditioned and comfortable.

We stayed at the Twin Bedroom, equipped with 2-single beds and with complete toiletries. The 18 square meter room size is quite spacious with table that can serve as a working station (just in case you still got to work) and FREE Wi-Fi’s available. Did I mention comfort? Well, you can ask for assistance if you need a wake-up service. Just let the front desk know of the time and gotcha, you got a human alarm clock. Though, I don’t fancy this kind of service but to some that is having a hard time waking up early or have an early activity or appointment to attend, then I assure you, you wouldn’t miss a thing. The bed was too comfy, the sheets kept me warm, and the soft pillows made me fall asleep easily. I warned you guys, so might as well, turn that alarm on or avail that wake-up service.

At night right after dinner, you could also have a karaoke session with your loved ones or barkada until ten in the evening just like what we did. It's an all-out fun night over booze, music and exchanging of stories.
In the morning, a delicious breakfast was waiting for us at La Playa Restaurant. I opted to sit outside the restaurant (seems like a veranda to me) to have an awesome view. What I saw with my very eyes were enticing while my tummy was having a time of her life as I indulged myself with meals suited for a queen or king, I guess (because I ate a lot!) such as beef tapa, dried fish, scrambled egg, my favorite pork tocino, fresh fruits and of course, my cup of hot brewed coffee – that prepared me for a day of adventure or I’d rather say, just by sitting by the beach and stared at its grandeur beauty that time brought in. Technically, that was what I did right after some photo sessions with my blogger friends. By the way, La Playa Restaurant, aside from local dishes, it also offers international cuisines to satisfy your cravings.

Yes, Corregidor Inn is sophisticatedly sitting in a quite and relaxing environment, perfect enough to unleash all the negative vibes onto your vein. Staying here was like a retreat that I was looking for to start a new week of fun and exciting life ventures.

via Private Transportation
1. Take Roxas Blvd South Bound
2. Take exit towards Buendia/ Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue
3. Turn right on Buendia/Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue
4. Drive straight to J.W. Diokno Blvd
5. Turn right to Seaside Blvd.
6. Esplanade Seaside Terminal (EST) will be on the right side.
via Public Transportation
A. From South
1. Ride LRT 1 from Baclaran to Buendia/ Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue
2. Ride Multi cab going to SM MOA
3. Get off when you reach One Esplanade
4. Walk going to Esplanade Seaside Terminal (EST)
B. From North
1. Ride LRT 1 from Roosevelt, Balintawak or Monumento to Buendia/ Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue
