With the idea of working from Siargao with an island vibes and chill environment, we didn’t have itinerary as we work at night. We only had one thing in our mind – to have a calm and relaxing vacation. Right after shift, we took a couple of hours sleep so we could have a peaceful morning at Cloud 9.

First thing first, enjoy a sumptuous meal with an ocean view, Café Loka was the perfect venue (or is it because I was there 4 years ago and promised myself to come back and just order food and chill having so much time).

It was around 8:00 o’clock in the morning then and the environment was so serene. Cloud 9 was just less than 500 meters away from Tarzan’s House where we were staying and so, I obliged that we just going to walk and so we did. Early morning exercise, I know right!

    Café Loka

Café Loka has a very great location, with the Cloud 9 boardwalk as the view; at the left side was the “jacking horse” while at the right side was the “quicksilver” surfing spot. They serve coffee, fresh juices and fruit and vegetable shakes and sandwiches that I would say, best to consume anytime of the day. There were tables with mat and bean bags laid at the sand for more refreshing kind of dining.

    hearty breakfast on the island.

We ordered ham and cheese sandwich and shake which I forgot the name but it was composed of cucumber, pineapple, something like that. The price starts at Php100 for a cup of brewed coffee and up. Sandwiches are around Php150++, shakes are sold at almost same price.

While waiting for our orders, we took the opportunity to snap some photos for keepsakes and for the ‘gram. After that, had a hearty conversation about random things and whatnot.

As I took my eyes to the sceneries, I couldn’t help it but to be grateful that I was able to see and experience such beauty amidst pandemic.

And so, clock is ticking so fast when you are just about making memories, right? We realized that it was already past lunch time and with that, we decided to lift our lazy asses and catch some sleep. But before that, we headed to Shaka Café, which is also within the area.

    Shaka Café

Everything healthy, earth-friendly and sustainable – for me, the identity of Shaka Café. I was quite excited to check their new location (as it was located along the road before but now it’s already beach front, with the boardwalk’s view). I

t was so freaking hot, a good weather though as my friend says because it was raining for days prior to our arrival.

    the island life. 😍

I ordered my favorite – Bom Dia – Shaka’s Fountain of Youth! 😊 A mix of acai, banana, yoghurt, granola, chia seeds, mango. The way it was served – aesthetically pleasing and so the taste! Highly recommend! The Bom Dia! Bowl is priced at Php270 per serving.

Was so full when we left and sleepy, too! Hence, we decided to rode a tricycle on our way back to Tarzan’s House
