OOTD: Lace and Silk (Plus, ways to wear scarf!)

Aside from traveling, one of the things I also miss during this pandemic is dressing up. Though, once in a while I tried to dress up and checked if my clothes still fit me and yes it does! Woohoo! And for the record, I already bought clothes for my upcoming travels before Mrs. Corona Virus happened. Well, if there were things that I can’t control then I’d rather enjoy the things that I can control, right? So, last week – as I was cleaning my closet – I found this a-little-sexy-dress that I fancy so much because it is made of lace (well, as much as I love satin, I also do love lace clothing) and can be accessorize,  of course, of my ever trendy and versatile silk scarf in beautiful pattern that I couldn’t forget to bring whenever I travel. Why? Scarf is my lifesaver whether it is winter or summer... always! And I’m going to tell you more about that later as I continue writing this blog.

On this trying time, I would rather choose things that would keep my sanity. I’d rather enjoy those stuff that would make me feel alive. But don’t get me wrong, it is okay to feel not to be okay but don’t dwell on it for too long. Waking up every single day is already a blessing so why waste your time thinking of things that could be a hindrance to your happiness or rather on your well-being. That’s why I started to have this “get up and dress up” mantra. Basically, I bought clothes simply because I liked them that no matter what occasion is, I will be glad to wear them even though that it means – staying at home, chilling, and enjoying my cup of brewed coffee. At the end of the day, it is myself that I wanted to please and wanted to be better. Yeah, self-care and self-love it is!

Meanwhile, scarf is always my lifesaver whether it is winter or summer. How? Well, during cold season, my weakest point is my nape – as long as it is covered and stays warm – I can cope up. I remember when we were in Tokyo and it was freaking cold and was snowing, I survived because I had this thick scarf around my neck. In summer, I had the worst sunburn that I could ever imagined and having my scarf saved me from spoiling my remaining days for adventure as I used it to cover my face from the sun. And that’s only some of the reasons why scarf is a necessity for me. More so, here are some ways on how to wear it.

    Ways to wear scarf

Hair accessory - Scarf can be wear as hair accessories. I’m a fan of this as I love incorporating scarf on my hair like a ponytail, head band, bandana, among others. And to complete today’s look – I used silk scarf as a headband.

Here’s another take on how I incorporated scarf (the thin version) onto my hair when I traveled to South Korea and had a fantastic time at Lotte World which I bought at SM Megamall.

Bag accessory – To prevent bag’s handle to chip then putting a scarf onto it is a good idea. Plus, it gives a different character and sophisticatication. And did I mention that it will definitely, oomph up the style.

Belt – yes, you read it right! So, whenever you need a belt to accentuate your curves – scarf always comes handy.

Neckerchief – Another hot trend right now is the neckerchief. To style wrapped it around your neck twice and tied a double knot.

That’s it! Can’t wait to see your outfits at home. Stay safe, folks!
