Dining at Panciteria LIDO Cocina Tsina

Since I met P, I started eating at a Chinese cuisine restaurant once in a while (hmmm… once a week?), from the oldest existing restaurant to the new one. Maybe, he, having a family that loves to eat in a Chinese restaurant, just wanted me to try where they usually eat-out.

Furthermore, Panciteria LIDO Cocina Tsina which is also has a branch in Chino Roces, Makati City (where we ate) is considered as one of the oldest among the restaurant that offers Chinese cuisines. The first branch which is located at Binondo, Manila was started in 1963 by Mr. Lido and through nostalgic cravings for “pugon roasted asado,” which was invented from prehistoric Chinese pork roast recipe that uses an old-fashioned brick oven, it made it to be famous that the generation of today can still savour the same taste, a 70 years old secret recipe.

Meanwhile, from the photos above, these are the foods that we’ve ordered:

(1) Drunken Lechon Macau(P257). Dipped in finest wines and special spices, this 60-hour cured pork belly is a must-try! This one is also an all-time favourite aside from the well-known pugon roasted asado.

(2) Steamed Fish Fillet Soy Sauce (P255). So flavorful fish fillet, the soy sauce has special spices that made the dish extra special and sumptuous. It is perfectly suited for the Lenten Season, too. ^_^

(3) Brocolli with … (arghhhh… I forgot the name and exact price but it ranges from P150-P200). The taste was good, it was like vegies sautéed on a spices.

(4) Lido Fried Rice (P65 / P205 (good for 3-4 persons)).  And to complement the entire dish above, Lido Fried Rice will definitely do. Moreover, Lido Fried Rice alone could probably make your dining well and fills your empty tummy and of course, satisfaction comes with a burp that would surely burst out afterwards.

So, if you’re looking for an old-fashioned cooked dish then Panciteria LIDO Cocina Tsina is definitely one of the finest restaurants that offer succulent and time-tested Chinese cuisines.

P.S. Keep the love alive and kicking. Sending all the love and kisses for all of you.
Happy Valentines Day!
