02112011 | Food of the Day!

It’s Friday! The end of weekdays and weekend begins. But before the end of day, I wanted to share you my dear readers my foods of the day! I have once again tasted a delectable delicacy from Bicol on which Ate Pi’s mom made for her, oh what a loving mother! – a suman! To all my fellow readers who don’t know suman, here’s what I got from Mr. Wiki – “Suman is a rice cake originating from the Philippines. It is made from glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk, and often steamed in banana leaves. It is served wrapped in buli or buri palm (Corypha) leaves and usually eaten sprinkled with sugar. Suman is also known as Budbud in Visayan dialects in other parts of the Philippines.
