InterCon Hotel: Our Deluxe/Standard Room

Hey yeah! If you’ve been following me on instagram (aylin_tdp) you would know that my friends and I had a great time on our hotel staycation at InterContinental Hotel Manila, 1 Ayala Avenue, Makati City last week (July 19-21). A supposedly 1 night stay was extended to 2 nights and 3 days! (And now were broke but happy)

Meanwhile, let me show you how the Standard/Deluxe room looks like. Well, for the local (Philippine Resident) like us, the room we got was called as standard room but if you look on their site, the room was called Deluxe. Hmmm. In line with this, there’s also a price difference. For us locals, you better call first the hotel as they might offer lower prices than the publish rates on their website and even on Agoda. Good thing, I called them first that purchasing on my trusted Agoda site that also offers discounted price. From the published rates of P6,500 for a Deluxe Room that is good for 2 with buffet breakfast, we got our Standard/Deluxe Room for only P4200 (yes, that’s a promo rate) for 2 with buffet breakfast, too!

Room 312, that’s our room number which we found a good location, had a very nice view of hotel’s swimming pool and located near the elevator. The room has a size of 28 square meters and has 2 double size bed which is perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids (as the hotel preference) but four adults is also fits in this kind of room but looks a bit crowd-y, maximum of 3 adults is allowed though.

InterContinel Hotel Room was clean and home-y and accessible on everything – malls, restaurants, bars, public transportations such as MRT, Jeepneys, Bus and Vans, coffee chains and a lot more – thus it was a perfect hotel for staycation.

It has a bar that contains chocolates, chips and drinks but of course a bit expensive. Two bathrobes were also found in the closet. For a gal who loves vanity, hair dryer, soap, soothing and aromatic with a hint of mint shampoo, conditioner and hand and body shower gel and lotion were also present in the bathroom. What I like the most is door-sized mirror at the back of the bathroom’s door; you can perfectly see your outfit.

And before I forgot, a complimentary Wi-Fi is also included on the rate, that’s why friends and families were updated on what’s going on on our staycation. Well, my online life was also updated and I kept sharing photos on my instagram. A flat screen (I think 50+ inches) with cable is also there to entertain its patronage.

That’s it for now! Stay tuned for another blog post about our InterContinental Hotel staycation. I still have a lot to share with regards on this plus more photos will be posted. (Next Hotel Staycation would probably still around Makati City – New World Hotel, maybe!)

Have a goodnight Darlings! The bed is calling me now. Wish me and P a good luck for our first fun run together tomorrow at National Milo Marathon, we’re running for 5k leg.
