Life is great, indeed! I had a great
vacation in Boracay Island
with my family and just back last night (stay tuned!). And upon this writing, I
am now heading to Subic for our
annual company offsite teambuilding. Hooray! More travels to come - personal
and work! I even couldn't believe that what I've prayed and dreamed for are now
happening, one by one! Thanks G for everything and for showering me so much
blessings! It's overwhelming and it's flattering. I feel so kilig with all the wonderful moments
happening in my life. Truly, at your 30's, it is time to BUILD. I am now
building the best relationship I could ever give to the people who matters most
to me - family, friends, my someone special, and most especially Him.
With that having said, let me share with
you our mini vacation slash staycation in the corner of one of the popular
shopping and dining destinations in San Juan City, Metro Manila - Greenhills
Shopping Center. Greenhills Elan
Hotel Modern is prominently and proudly standing tall in the busy street of
Annapolis just across the Promenade Greenhills and the Music Museum. The hotel is also accessible to nearby
popular city attractions such as Robinsons
Galleria, SM Megamall, Shangri-La Plaza, and Wack-Wack Golf & Country Club.
As we entered the hotel lobby, we
were greeted by the hotel staff nicely, well I guess, giving us a hint that we
will be having a wonderful stay even just for a night. The hotel receptionist
the will assist you checking-in is located at the first floor of the hotel building.
On the right side, there’s a Café Elan
where we had our welcome refreshments, we had a cold juice drinks and cupcakes.
By the way, ones can have an option whether you choose between coffee or cold

The One-Bedroom Presidential Suite where we stay at is located at 37th floor where we had a great view of Ortigas and Makati skylines. The room is equipped with a dining area with kitchen, living area with a cable TV where you also can accommodate visitors and a huge one bedroom. The bathroom has a bath tub, bath robes, and toiletries. What I loved about Greenhills Elan Modern Hotel is the spacious rooms and yet comes with a very budget-friendly price. Well, I hope that we bring foods so we don’t have to went outside and had our dinner on a nearby chain of restaurants available in Greenhills Shopping Center.

After we had dinner, we went back to hotel, took a nap and went to swimming pool after which is located at the roof deck and surprised to know that there’s a Jacuzzi perfect for relaxation. Also located at the roof deck, are the gym, billiard and dart hall. As I mentioned above, these are some of the hotel amenities that I always look forward when I stay in a hotel within the metro. Why? It simply keeps me entertained and appreciates what is has to offer. Not to mention, every guest can enjoy the stunning panoramic view of Makati Skyline, Manila Bay, Ortigas Skyline, Antipolo hills and the landscape of Marikina. Wow! This is life - appreciating every details of it, even the small ones! And because I wanted to take advantage the hotel’s unexpected offerings, I enjoyed my me-time at the bathtub while having the city lights in the window as my view before sleeping.
Waking up to the city view was just one of the awesome experiences we had! My very eyes enjoyed the beauty bestowed upon me and couldn’t imagined that I am enjoying it within the metro. Who would have thought that having the best of both worlds is just less than an hour away from my home and Greenhills Elan Modern Hotel made itself a home away from home that everyone is looking forward.
And the best part for every staycation is having a mouth-watering breakfast buffet. After capturing moments thru taking photos on our bedroom, we went down to Elan Café to have the much awaited breakfast. Elan Café has a modern and chic interior that reflects a classy and sophisticated ambiance. If I am going to compare it from other hotel restaurants, Elan Café is somehow gives you a fine dining setting that offers a variety of food selection available in the buffet table. It caters different Filipino dishes and some foreign too. During that day, the buffet table had fish fillet, roasted chicken, longganisa, potato balls and buttered vegetables. Different kind of cereals, fruits, green-leafy vegetable as well as Kimchi are available in the salad bar. Into breads? Well, you are going to have a lot of kinds of breads and sandwiches, pancakes and waffles are also present to fulfill you morning cravings. Was it delish?! Absolutely! P and I were eating our breakfast for almost 2 hours and I assure you, you’ll be getting a sumptuous food fare!
By the way, you don’t have to be a hotel’s guest to avail their buffet breakfast, walk-ins are very much welcome! Originally, we planned to lounge in the swimming pool but due to heavy breakfast that we had and full happy tummy, we ended up snoring on our comfy sheets and woke up just in time for check-out.
To wrap it up, we had a wonderful staycation experience at Greenhills Elan Hotel Modern. Staying in our room made us to forget the scorching heat of summer outside. The coldness of the air-condition in the room made us to sleep soundly on our lenient king-sized bed surrounded by soft pillows underneath the warmth of the comforters. Living room as well has a separate air condition keeping us cooler than ever. Having this kind of treatment from our room itself gave us a hard time to leave on time.
