Mount Tapyas in Coron, Palawan is a popular destination for those looking to catch a breathtaking sunrise. Standing at seven hundred fifty four feet, the summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the crystal clear waters of the West Philippine Sea. Hence, waking up early to witness the beauty of the rising sun was worth it!

The trek to the top of Mount Tapyas can be challenging, with a steep and strenuous climb of over seven hundred steps. However, the effort was really for an experience, as the view from the top is simply stunning. The best time to start the hike was around 5:00 AM, in order to reach the summit in time for the sunrise.







At the top of Mount Tapyas, you will be greeted with a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape. On a clear day, you can see as far as the islands of Culion and Busuanga. The sunrise itself is a spectacle, with the orange and pink hues of the sun reflecting off the sea below.

Aside from the stunning views, Mount Tapyas is also a popular spot for visitors to do some light exercise. The climb up the steps is a great way to get your heart rate up, and the cool breeze at the summit provides a refreshing break from the heat.
