Fete de la Musique 2016

Life’s celebration can be summarized through music. I know you are going to agree with me. Well, in all of our life walks there is a corresponding music that surely, will accompany and boost the emotion that one’s having.

In line with that, I was glad that I attended Fete de la Musique 2016 that happened last June 18, 2016 in the city of Makati. With over 21 pocket destinations within Makati, I was able to enjoy the different kinds of music with various genres. Additionally, it was more of getting to know new and upcoming artists while listening on their pieces which are beyond amazing – it was upbeat that leads us to shake our body and dance with the crowd.
The Fête de la Musique, considered as the most recognized French event in the Philippines, is a popular and free event that welcomes every musician of any background to contribute their passion for music, art, and culture by promoting diversity in musical practices. It is also a way to promote brotherhood among different nations: the music can express different kinds of culture, in different ways. From pop to hip-hop, reggae to classical, electronic to jazz, the magic of Fête de la Musique transcends across all musical taste.

To start the night, we were mesmerized by Ransom Collective singing at A. Venue open parking main stage with their song entitled “Fools” and some other hit songs that made us a happy audience. Of course, a photo op right after the show is a must!

Then we headed to Greenbelt 3 Park to get hooked and appreciated more of music as well as talented new and local artists. The night was young then so are we, that’s why we decided to went to Z Hostel for some evolution of RnB after 30 minutes.
Who loves Reggae? Oh, I know I can already feel some hands raised up on the air for Bob Marley. Listening and dancing on a reggae something was a blast which held at the B-Side! The crowd was overwhelming, you’ll see a lot of people from different generations grooving and enjoying the music. Well, I can say that this was the highlight of my night as I explored and discovered various sounds thru Fete de la Musique!

It was around midnight when “being a Tita” hits me. However, the house party setting at the Black Market made me reminisce the younger self and guess what happened next? Dancing and humming and singing and dancing and little did I know that it is already dawn and time to go home.

To sum it up, it was a great night indeed! Met new people, party-all-night long and enjoyed the night. As early as now, I am looking forward for Fete de la Musiqe 2017. It brings out everyone’s passion with music and as well as let these new and talented artists to be known and let their music be heard. It was truly amazing!
