Café Lawis in Dauis, Bohol

Vacation with tours can be tiring too especially if you availed scheduled package tours that have an early call-time. Sleepless night due to excitement was one of the results that made us sleepy during the tour. Good thing was, we have found this Café Lawis on one of our tour destinations. We need some caffeine to lighten up at energize our tired body.

Café Lawis was located beside Dauis Church in Panglao, Bohol. Cafe Lawis is a component project of the Dauis Renaissance Program, a partnership iniative of the diocese of Tagbilaran, the Our Lady of Assumption Shrine Parish and Beatriz Susana Zobel de Ayala, Jr., geared towards Heritage Conservation, sustainable and responsible Tourism, and Community Development. The term 'lawis' is said to be the old term for 'Dauis' town.

Cafe Lawis is easily becoming the favorite hangout of the Metro Tagbilaran culturati.  Located in the Dauis church’s old stone Convento, the Cafe sits in between the church gallery/exhibition space and the Handumanan soveinir shop and extends to a wooden deck/verandah canopied by century-old acacia trees, with a stunning, stunning view of the Tagbilaran straight. And yes, the food is delectable as well. (source: here)

What we have ordered?

The foods and drinks were at a very reasonable price. A glass of mocha and latte which were at only P65 and the slice of Buko Pie at only P20. I hope that someday, they will bring café here at Manila.

Till Next Time,
Aylin
