Howdy Dearies! It’s been a while since I posted an outfit-related post or I must say post about beauty and fashion and I do am apologize for that. I’ve been stuck on different things lately such as work, love life, personal things and family. And now I am blaming the hectic schedule I have for not posting more personal entries like an outfit post or accessories haul. Now, I am trying to catch up on everything, slowly but surely!

Moving forward, I’ve been to Ilocos with P’s family for a short trip (I’ll post a separate entry of the places we’ve been to as my travelog) and here’s what I wore during our Day 2 Ilocos Sur and Norte Tour.

A very summery outfit that gives me comfort for a long walk and drive. I just have to put an inner wardrobe because the rain was on and off, it’s better prepared with the cold and wet weather rather than look miserable when rain pours.

Home Living: SM City North EDSA Furniture and Home Ware SALE from July 27 – August 12.

If I am not shopping something for my closet I do shop for our home (I’m still living with my parents at their home). I don’t know why, but I could stay in a furniture or home warehouse for 2-3 hours just looking for something beautiful, something that can be put on a clear glass pedestal, and something that I like to see when I’m home, something that makes me relax and feel home-y – every time!

I remember my early days of working (for about 1-2 years working in a corporate world) and having a night shift and I’ll go home when the mall opens. Ha-ha. Since I am living in the north, I can’t help it but stopped by at SM City North Edsa to look for something that I can put as a display in our home.

My dream house is more of classic Victorian style but P wanted the minimalistic ones that’s why we are considering one’s opinion in choosing furniture for our dream house, well, this could be happen if we both decide to settle, but right now, what we have is to save and dream for the future. Ha-ha. And sometimes visiting the OurHome website is one of our pastimes to have silly arguments with regards to home needs. Curious about our top picks?

P and I love to eat and he’s kind of good in cooking and for me to be inspired to learn cooking, we are looking forward to have a big kitchen where we can cook sumptuous meals for the family so Dining Sets and Kitchen Tops will be on our top list.

A sophisticated and minimalistic coffee/dining table would be perfect on our dining area. P loves the color and I do love how it feels elegantly.

Next is the bedroom. In most cases, I am more visible on our bedroom rather than on our living room. I’d rather sleep and take a rest all-day long than to watch TV for an entertainment. So our picks would be something that would give us the comfort that we needed after work. A very comfortable mattress like the Uratex Cozy Latex is a good choice paired with very soft and comfy linen for a sound sleep.

And last but not the least, the living room. I want big sofas with an extra mile for comfort. And as P’s top pick for his minimalistic feature we came out with this bulky, comfy and black sofa.

Such a great opportunity to boost out our inner interior designer skills and got tips on how to prettify our home, maximize the space and knows the do’s and don’ts of combining furniture and home accessories.

8th Cinemalaya Festival: “APARISYON”

Synopsis:

1971. The year before Martial Law is declared. The place: The Adoration Monastery in the woods of a remote province a few hours away from Manila. A young novice, Lourdes, enters the monastery. A few weeks later, Remy, an extern nun, gets a visit from her mother and is told that her left-leaning brother has gone missing. Remy asks for a brief leave of absence to join her family in the search for her brother. Mother Superior turns Remy down, wanting to keep the nun safe from harm. But Remy, still troubled by the news about her brother, has other plans and ends up smuggling a pocket radio into the monastery to listen to news reports in the dead of night. Lourdes eventually finds out what Remy has been up to. Sympathizing with Remy’s plight, Lourdes asks to become an extern herself. She and Remy start attending meetings of families whose militant relatives have disappeared. When one of their meetings drags into the night, the two nuns end up walking in the woods in the dark and get accosted by a few men. Remy escapes but Lourdes is not that lucky. Shortly before dawn, Lourdes is found in the woods: she has been sexually abused. The entire monastery gets shaken, and the nuns start to unravel from the memory of that fateful night. Months later, the crisis climaxes in a startling revelation that turns the nuns’ world upside down.

SM City North Edsa: Shopping Day at the Great Northern Sale!

Friday the 13^th was ain’t freakin’ day!  Yeah, most of the times when 13^th falls on a Friday day then it means bad luck, but for me, Friday the 13^th was a lucky day indeed. Why? 1. It's our payday. 2. The Great Northern Sale is happening today ‘til July 15, 2012. 3. What will you do if you have some moolah to spend plus a great northern sale = SHOPPING!

It’s been 5 years since I finished school and now I am already working for 5 years. In that years, there were so many ups and downs, experience bankruptcy, brought back my good financial status once more and now I am more knowledgeable on how I spend my money wisely and at the same time still able to buy my needs and wants. How I do that? Then, read on as I also share some tips on shopping.

I do shopping every SALE days of a certain mall. Meanwhile, SM City Supermalls always offer a big savings to all shoppers like me, so, by liking their Facebook page, I get updates on their events and of course with their upcoming sale announcement. One of the biggest on-going sale right now until Sunday, July 15, 2012 is the Great Northern Sale at SM City North Edsa. 

As being frugal nowadays, discounts and savings is really a must! That’s why I wouldn’t want to missed this Great Northern Sale to do a little shopping for myself – a’lil reward for a hardworking me. Ha-ha.

Therefore, Friday the 13^th at 12nn, I left home and went to SM City North Edsa for their Great Northern Sale before going to work. What’s store for us on the Great Northern Sale? Well, a booming discounts in almost all of the items. Wherein up to 70% OFF will be yours in purchasing selected items on sale. It was really a good steal on something you wanted to buy! And since I’ll be using Sodexho Gift Certificate I did my shopping inside the SM Department Store where a lot of things from shoes, dresses to accessories were present which was also a time saver for me because everything I wanted was already there.

Tip # 1. If you see something on sale that can be gifted to your loved ones especially if birthdays, anniversary or christening is coming, then you can buy your gift ahead of time because if you have limited time you’ll end up buying expensive things.  So from these Barbie brand I purchased something for my nieces that they’ll surely love.

Oh boy, that Rajo Laurel creation for Parisian is on-sale same with the other shoes seen on Fashion Week are half the price! 

If Parisian Shoes have their 50% OFF, Solemate has 2 for P399.75, for as low as P200 you gotta have a cute, fun, chic and trendy style ballet shoes that is way too perfect for a long walk like shopping.

Tip # 2. If you have an incoming event that needs a classy formal wear, then you can also buy them during sale. Shoes can be bought ahead of time since your shoe size does not change.

My goodness! My eyes love what I am seeing but then I have to control myself for buying too much or for being an impulsive buyer. And I guess, what I have bought was something that you too could say that it was absolutely a STEAL! 

Yay! A trendy jeggings with studs and a mini shorts for a perfect outfit post and casual getaways. Are you excited how much are they? *drum rolls*

Really a steal, nah? I got them both for only P250, more than 50% off from their original price.

A Brighter Day

In my high school and college days I hate pink, my closet that time were composed of white, blue, black and red. No colorful shirts. No colorful dresses. I proved that the only thing that is constant in our planet is CHANGE. Yes, because from dull safe colors everything changed to brighter and colorful wardrobes.  

And today, this is what I’m wearing for the 2 events I have attended – 8^th Cinemalaya Entry “Aparisyon” Press Conference and Orange Magazine TV 2^nd Year Anniversary Celebration. What I wear were very comfortable pieces with a sporty and colorful vibe. A colorful outfit that matches the clear blue sky, heavy rains pours at night though.

It’s Pulse Saturday, Party Time at Urban Athletics

After an exciting and challenging ElectroluxWok-a-holic Kitchen Star event that I had in the afternoon which ended at almost 8pm last Saturday (July 7, 2012) I, together with some of my blogger friends rushed to Glorietta 3 to have some Urban Party before our Saturday night ends. It’s Pulse Saturday: We got D.I.B.S. 2 at Urban Athletics, 2^nd Level Glorietta 3, Makati City.

Arriving at the venue, lots of people were already partying over the ill beats and cool music from Thyro and Yumi who rocked the house down with their smooth vibe and of course with some of the known DJs while enjoying Manila Beer, Tanduay Ice and Coors Light.

Urban Athletics is not just your typical apparel and shoe haven for urban fashion because they also transforms into a party venue flocked by the people who’s in the hip hop music. So, an urban fashion savvy can also be turned to urban and hip hop music savvy. So, throw your hands in the air and sing with me.. Wooo ohh ohh ohh.. wooo oh oh.

And for most of all who always finds luck in every raffle (wishin’ I could also have that mantra), exciting prizes were ups for grabs like SUPRA shoes, Empire x Fanboy clothing, The One and WIP caps and a lot more. I envy those people who won those cool and pretty things. Ha-ha. Please share with me your lucky star. Teehee.

The party was a blast! Aside from the raffle, there were free-flowing beers, beer-pong tournaments wherein celebrities also rocked the scene. Urban Athletics’ Pulse Saturdays absolutely locked down the most happening crowd with tight music and of course the hippest fashion place. With Urban Athletics, you certainly got D.I.B.S.!
